Particle-like skyrmions interacting with a funnel obstacle

The skyrmion-substrate interaction is an important issue to consider when studying particle-like skyrmions in nanostructures, which may strongly affect the skyrmion dynamics and lead complex dynamic phenomena. Here, we report current-driven behaviors of interacting with funnel obstacle a ferromagnetic layer. We computationally demonstrate that enhanced perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can be used modify due repulsive skyrmion-funnel interaction, could generate several nontrivial effects, including compression, clogging, annihilation, guided motion, capturing skyrmions. It also found separate incoming flow into two asymmetric flows. Moreover, show it possible capture by both static ways. Our results are useful for understanding substrate provide guidelines control flows transmission channel.

We compute new solutions of the Skyrme model with massive pions. Concentrating on baryon numbers which are a multiple of four, we find low energy Skyrmion solutions which are composed of charge four sub-units, as in the α-particle model of nuclei.
